January 28, 2019.-

Former ministers Ana Elisa Osorio, Gustavo Márquez, Hector Navarro, Jorge Giordani, Oly Millán C and Rodrigo Cabezas join in a call for dialogue and consensus, in this the worst moment of crisis in Venezuela, and the confrontation of the Executive and Judicial Power with the National Assembly.

They recommend "to the actors in conflict, to build a route characterized by an agreement of homeland, an agreement with a vision of the future, a responsible agreement, which foresees the resignation of absolutely all powers, in an orderly manner and in front of the people, with the order to call, in peremptory time, a new general election process that relegitimizes all powers, to advance a plan that addresses the humanitarian emergency and opens the way to a new Venezuela. "

"Ultimately, it is about putting decisions in the hands of the sovereign people,  as our Constitution says," reads the document signed by those who held different positions in the management of the late president, Hugo Chávez.

Otherwise, these leaders warn that "the drift of the crisis will lead us inexorably to a civil war with international participation, the direct installation of fascism, with all that this implies for the present and future generations of Venezuelans, or the installation, from compromises, from a government that does not represent the interests of Venezuelans. "

URGENT DIALOGUE, THE CONCERTATION AND THE DEMOCRATIC AGREEMENT TO AVOID VIOLENCE AND DEATH IN VENEZUELA

PRONUNCIATION OF MINISTERS OF HUGO CHÁVEZ

The serious economic and social crisis that plagues the lives of millions of Venezuelans, particularly the Venezuelan workers and families, is compounded by the political crisis of legitimacy that confronts the Executive and Judicial Power and the National Assembly.

This crisis has escalated to such levels that it puts us on the verge of violence, hatred, death and foreign military intervention as a way out of political confrontation. What is at stake is the existence of the republic.

The solution to this devastating economic, social and political crisis must be reached by Venezuelans, so it is unacceptable that economic, political, military or foreign elites intend to usurp popular sovereignty (Article 5), as our current Constitution says , it resides not transferably in the people who will be able, by means of consultative referendum (Art. 71) of binding character, to make decisions when it treats of matters of special national interest, as it is obviously the one that worries us at this moment, given the escalation of the political crisis expressed, among other aspects, in the confrontation of two powers that dangerously threatens to destroy the nation-state.

That is why, with great firmness and conviction, we urge the conflicting actors to build a route characterized by an agreement of the fatherland, an agreement with a vision of the future, a responsible agreement, which foresees the resignation of absolutely all powers, in orderly and in front of the people, in order to call, in peremptory time, a new general election process that relegitimizes all powers, to advance a plan that addresses the humanitarian emergency and opens the way to a new Venezuela. Ultimately, it is about putting the decisions in the hands of the sovereign people, as stated in our Constitution.

Otherwise, the drift of the crisis will lead us inexorably to a civil war with international participation and the installation directly of fascism, with all that this implies for the present and future generations of Venezuelans, or the installation, based on compromises, of a government that does not represent the interests of Venezuelans.

We must reestablish our democratic Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and recognize the people in their legitimate right as sovereign that is, to make the decision to express themselves in the electoral contest on whether they want to re-legitimize or not, all the public powers of the nation.

It is a political right that can not be curtailed to Venezuelans, and it is the only way to guarantee peace and work to overcome the serious economic depression and hyperinflation that we all suffer.

Who really loves the Venezuelan homeland can not bet on the civil war and the suffering that it would mean: THAT THE PEOPLE DECIDE IN SUFFRAGE .
